You will begin to receive emails from QTS following the resolution of specific service incidents or projects. The email will reference the service incident or project and provide you with a link to our online survey form. If you would kindly take one minute to fill out the survey and return these forms to QTS, it would be greatly appreciated. These new and improved surveys will really help QTS better monitor customer satisfaction. Each quarter we will randomly draw a winner from all submitted surveys. The winner will receive an Amazon.com gift certificate. MICROSOFT ENHANCES SOFTWARE ASSURANCE BENEFITS Microsoft Software Assurance customers, or customers considering purchase of Software Assurance, should note that as of September 1^st a series of new benefits are being built into the program, at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Depending on the program you are in and the software you purchase or have purchased, new benefits may include at home use licenses, training vouchers and eLearning, and some technical support options. QTS' new QuikStart offerings are designed to assist customers with deploying Pilot Project systems that allow the technologies to be tested before they are deployed, and are squarely aimed at transferring knowledge to in-house IT staff. Attendees will discover how to: * Create a more secure infrastructure, generally and around Microsoft technologies; * Protect your systems from internal and external threats; * Keep secure while rolling out web services; * Respond rapidly to security incidents, and to detect and prevent them; * Learn to boost staff productivity, minimize network risks, and safeguard corporate profitability. The following patches have been recently released and are generally recommended by QTS: * Novell NetWare 6 Service Pack 3 * Novell NetWare 5.1 Service Pack 6 * Novell GroupWise 6 Service Pack 3 * Novell ZENworks for Desktops 3.2 Service Pack 2 * Novell ZENworks for Desktops 4 Service Pack 1b * Novell NetWare Client 3.32 for Windows 9x Service Pack 2 * Novell NetWare Client 4.83 for Windows NT/2000/XP Service Pack 2 * Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a (check with app vendors first!) Also, please check http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/current.asp for applicability of Microsoft Security Bulletins to the products in use at your environment. Contact your QTS Account Manager if you would like our Customer Support Center to monitor these bulletins for you and advise with recommendations for your environment upon release of new bulletins. Symantec (formerly Norton) Antivirus Corporate Edition signature files are currently at version 50523d (5/23/2003). CA InoculateIT 4.x signature files are currently at version 43.29 (5/22/2003) and 6.x signature files are currently at version 23.61.30 (5/23/2003). McAfee VirusScan/NetShield signature files are currently at version 4266 (5/21/2003). Please keep your antivirus signatures, and your scan engines, current! If you do not have your system set up to automatically distribute updates from your server to your PCs, please call your QTS Account Manager or the Customer Support Center. Some patches can cause problems, especially in combination with other software programs or patch levels. Please talk to us to verify whether we see any possible problems in your environment before patching your systems independently. We make best efforts to test patch combinations but cannot guarantee compatibility between software and hardware manufacturers� products. ************************************************************************ PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: INTERACTIVE MEDIA ASSOCIATES ********************************************************************** This month QTS is spotlighting its partner for marketing web site development, Interactive Media Associates.
