QTS Press Release Release Date: April 24, 2003 QTS Announces Support for Windows 2003 Server (Morris Plains, NJ) April 24, 2003 Quality Technology Solutions, Inc. (QTS) today announced that it will be supporting Microsoft's new Windows 2003 Server network operating system, immediately upon release on April 24th by Microsoft. QTS is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and Microsoft's Medium Enterprise Partner of the Year in 2001-2002 for the New Jersey District, with a strong track record of deploying and supporting Microsoft products. QTS is a strong Microsoft partner, and is committed to helping customers deploy and upgrade to Windows 2003 Server and related technologies," noted Neil Rosenberg, President and CEO of QTS. Windows 2003 Server has improved security, improved reliability and a significant number of new features that provide strong business value, yet it is an evolutionary, rather than revolutionary, step from Windows 2000 Server. "We are ready and ramped up to deploy this product," said Rosenberg. "We've sent most of our technical staff to pre-release training on Windows 2003 Server, and have been working with pre-release code to develop our installation checklists, documentation formats and administrator training programs. Because Windows 2003 Server is an evolutionary step from Windows 2000 Server, it has been easy to update our QuikDesign Active Directory Design offering to support it." When questioned about the software, Rosenberg noted that the key factor in deciding whether to move to Windows 2003 Server today is an accurate evaluation of risk and benefits. "By moving directly to Windows 2003 Server, customers on Windows NT Server can skip an entire upgrade cycle and save the associated costs," noted Rosenberg. "However, it is critical to evaluate the risk sensitivity of the customer, as well as whether the applications in the client's environment support Windows 2003 Server, before committing to that path. Windows 2000 Server would be more appropriate for networks where the customer is very risk averse, or where existing applications are not yet supported on the Windows 2003 Server platform."
