QTS Press Release Release Date: October 28, 2002 QTS Launches QuikSecure™ Security Assessment Service (South Orange, NJ) October 28, 2002 QTS today launched its new QuikSecure™ Security Assessment service offering, providing customers with a comprehensive review of their business' security posture. According to Neil Rosenberg, President and CEO of QTS, "our QuikSecure Security Assessment service gives businesses a high-level but thorough review of the security elements protecting their business - not only from a technology perspective, but also from the perspective of processes and procedures, and the all-critical people element." Using QTS-standardized checklists as a starting point, QTS conducts an interview with appropriate customer personnel to determine, across a wide range of topics, how the customer is positioned to deal with security concerns. This includes security systems, but also looks at physical security, operational security, password policies, software policies and backup/disaster recovery planning. QTS then prepares a comprehensive report that notes the areas positively where the proper components are in place, and for areas where improvements can be made, specifically notes the concern, the business impact, and the recommendation. This gives customers a strong baseline from which to plan future security refinements. Rosenberg also noted that competitive offerings tend to either be at the same price point but offer far less detail and information, or at 3-4 times the cost for a similar quality offering. "At the price point of $2,500 for the meeting, the report and the follow-up teleconference, this is probably the best value offering QTS has ever been able to offer its customers, and one of the best available period," said Rosenberg. "Most businessses really don't know where to begin in defining security needs," noted Rosenberg, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional. "Our Security Assessment offering provides an excellent starting point in evaluating a business' security readiness, and a framework for matching that readiness against the business impact of security issues."
