QTS Announces QuikCheckup™ Health Check Service

(South Orange, NJ) September 30, 2002 – QTS today announced its new QuikCheckup™ Health Check Service, providing customers with a proactive service that brings best practices to bear within key QTS-supported products in order to prevent downtime.

According to Neil Rosenberg, President and CEO of QTS, "the goal of our QuikCheckup services is to catch problems in specific operating systems and applications while they are small, before they grow to the point of causing downtime and user disruption.  Most businesses today require high levels of system uptime.  In many cases, this can be achieved by proactive review of key servers and applications."

QTS' service is based on its 10+ years of experience with Microsoft and Novell networks, and related core applications.  QTS reviews servers against a predefined checklist of common problem areas, to determine if the server or application is functioning within normal parameters, or if a problem is developing that will degrade performance or cause downtime.  Based on its review, QTS will recommend action steps to resolve the problem proactively.

QTS offers QuikCheckup services for the following products:

  • Microsoft Windows NT, 2000 and .Net Server
  • Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Novell NetWare
  • Novell GroupWise
  • Computer Associates ARCserve

"Our objective is to prevent downtime with this service," noted Rosenberg.  "Optimally, customers schedule QuikCheckups for their key servers and applications on a monthly or quarterly basis in order to do so.  In that way, the service matches nicely with our QuikAssist support plans and our QuikAlert Daily Monitoring Service, since QuikCheckup goes into far more depth and covers performance factors that QuikAlert isn't designed to review."
