QTS Infrastructure Optimization Assessments
QTS offers customers and prospective customers with 200 or more computer users a Microsoft-funded Infrastructure Optimization Assessment - a strategic assessment of your organization's current standing relative to best practices, and a roadmap on how to improve your position with specific action steps and ROI/business value analysis.
Microsoft has developed three optimization models —Application Platform Optimization (APO), Business Productivity Infrastructure Optimization (BPIO), and Core Infrastructure Optimization (Core IO). Within each model, customers’ IT infrastructures may have reached one of four stages of optimization: basic, standardized, advanced, or dynamic.
There are three optimization models:
Core: Develop a benchmark analysis of the technical capabilities of your infrastructures. Use this model to assess the business value delivered by these capabilities to understand why you should invest in optimizing your infrastructures now, even when the economy is challenging. Infrastructure improvements can result in lower overall costs, reduced security risks, and improved business agility.
Business Productivity: Enhance business processes and efficiency. Use this model to see the way an agile infrastructure and the 2007/2010 Microsoft Office system can help simplify collaboration, improve business decision support, and provide unified communications.
Application Platform: Improve service levels and speed performance. Use this model to see how an IT infrastructure optimized with the Microsoft Application Platform delivers integrated, flexible, and highly secure applications.
