QTS Cloud Assessment

QTS offers customers and prospective customers with 200 or more computer users a Microsoft-funded Cloud Assessment.  Similar to the Infrastructure Optimization Assessments we’ve offered the last few years, a Cloud Assessment is a service QTS and Microsoft developed together to help customers determine the optimal cloud strategy for their organization and what workloads best belong in the Cloud, versus on premise.

A Cloud Assessment begins with an overview of Cloud options and terminology, so we can proceed from a common understanding of the various ways that the Cloud can be leveraged, as well as on-premise models (traditional virtualization, “Private Cloud” virtualization, physical servers) and their pros and cons.  We then review various workloads (email, communications, key applications) as they relate to your organization, and help you determine which strategy best serves your organization for that workload.

The result – besides a good discussion and strong knowledge transfer around Cloud strategies – is a report that memorializes our findings and can help you refine and guide your organization’s transition to the Cloud, at whatever pace is appropriate.  And QTS can help you get there, leveraging our Cloud.9™ family of solutions and services.
