QTS' Fall 2008 Seminar
Schedule provides timely information to our customers and prospective
customers on new technology options that can help their businesses.
Please note that these events are open to QTS customers and prospective
customers (not consultants or competitive organizations) and some events
have restrictions on the number of attendees per organization, the role
of attendees, or the size of the organization attending.
CxO Seminar: Virtualization & Storage Management Strategies
Presented by
QTS and Network Appliance
Join QTS and Network Appliance for this informative seminar on how to
manage your ever-expanding storage needs and how to better manage servers
and applications through virtualization. This event will explore the
benefits of centralized storage using SAN and NAS technologies, including
technologies like iSCSI and Fibre Channel, and issues around backup and
archiving rapidly growing data. We will also discuss how virtualization can
be used to reduce the physical server footprint in your data center, and
explore the different offerings and architectures from VMware, Microsoft and
Citrix. Finally, we will discuss Application Virtualization tools from
Microsoft and Citrix, allowing for more efficient distribution of software
to the desktop.

adding new virtualization functionality with the Hyper-V hypervisor, while enhancing functionality around

ADFS and adding new features such as Network Access Control. Citrix
will present on their upcoming enhancements to their new version of XenApp
(formerly Presentation
Server), which will work with Windows Server 2008, as well as XenDesktop
Desktop Virtualization running on HyperV.

leverage Microsoft's Systems Center tools and Management methodologies as
part of an Infrastructure Optimization initiative. In this event, QTS will present on how
Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager
can help reduce management costs and improve the efficiency and
available time for your IT staff, while increasing network uptime and proactivity. We will demonstrate key features of both products, and
discuss other products under Microsoft's System Center product family,
including future plans.
