Solution Spotlight: Overview RightFax 8.5 is the current release of Captaris' premier network fax solution. It is a technology that helps businesses send and receive faxes from within their LAN/WAN environment, and has significant potential for business ROI. RightFax has been an industry leader in the fax and unified messaging marketplace for years, especially in the legal market but across businesses of all types, and QTS has been a Captaris partner for some time. RightFax allows for inbound faxes to be received by one or more fax boards, which can either print the faxes (replacing conventional fax machines), route the faxes to users' RightFax accounts, or via email integration route them to users' mailboxes. Routing can be manual, or can be automated via DID or DTMF technologies or via Optical Character Recognition. Inbound faxing can be a major benefit to organizations with mobile professionals or where improved traceability and accounting for faxes is needed. Outbound faxes can also be automated, with obvious potential for time savings (the "watercooler effect" is an obvious area for ROI calculation). Additionally, fax-based marketing solutions can be implemented to improve marketing reach and customer/prospect communication, particularly to businesses that are less automated. Productivity can be enhanced through custom cover pages, address book integration with Outlook or third-party products that are ODBC-compliant, scanned signatures and document assembly capabilities. The solution can be readily extended to meet many unique needs. Although many have said for years that email will replace faxes, this is only partially true. Faxes remain, and continue to remain, an important part of Business to Business communications. As such, RightFax remains an industry-leading solution to improve communciations. QTS offers a QuikStart for RightFax, to help customers rapidly deploy this technology while concurrently transferring knowledge for ongoing management. This one day engagement provides for basic setup and configuration of the fax server, training of IT support personnel in its use and for client deployment, and whatever additional work can be done in that day. It assumes the customer supplies a pre-built, dedicated server.
