QTS Solution Spotlight:
GoodLink Server

Overview

GoodLink Server is a software solution to help Microsoft Exchange customers extend device support out to a range of mobile devices, including PalmOne's Treo 600, PocketPC devices running the Windows Mobile 2003 operating system, and specific BlackBerry models (on the Mobitex data network).

GoodLink Server provides AES encryption to ensure secure communications, and uses a "push" model to send email and other Exchange data to mobile devices for highly reliable wireless communications.  It also provides tools for troubleshooting communications, and holds messages when user devices cannot be reached.

QTS offers a one day QuikStart engagement to set up the server and pilot devices, and provide IT training.

Key Benefits

GoodLink Server provides a number of benefits, including:

  • Highly secure communications utilizing AES encryption, with no need to open ports on your firewall;
  • Support for multiple vendors' mobile devices;
  • Centralized control and management of mobile devices, including password administration and the ability to delete data from lost devices over the wireless network.
