Check Point Software Technologies invented the Statefull Inspection technology that is at the heart of most modern firewalls, and is the leader in policy based security management. Their security technologies are a key component of QTS' integrated security platform. As a Check Point Licensed Partner, QTS has a strong relationship with Check Point's local and national resources. Check Point FireWall-1 FireWall-1 is an industry leading firewall platform that utilizes Statefull Inspection to provide better security than a Proxy Server, but avoid performance loss. FireWall-1 is also ideal for distributed environments with multiple enforcement points (such as VPNs) or complex environments with multiple security needs, due to its close integration with many third party products through its OPSEC partnerships. FireWall-1 uses policy based management to translate business rules into understandable security policies, and those policies can be "pushed" out to all managed enforcement points on the network. Check Point VPN-1 VPN-1 builds upon (and includes) FireWall-1 to add Virtual Private Network (VPN) capabilities to the same management point as the firewall. This integration is critical to security, since VPN access is a component of security policies, and VPN-1 and FireWall-1 take their rules from the same policy base. VPN-1 allows for client to site or site to site VPNs, and can secure the client side of the VPN with optional SecureRemote software (a policy based personal firewall) to ensure hackers can't get into your network through vulnerable clients. Check Point Floodgate-1 Floodgate-1 expands upon VPN-1 with the ability to perform bandwidth management and traffic prioritization. Low priority traffic such as multimedia and games can be allowed, but given less bandwidth when high priority traffic such as email and web server traffic are competing for the same pipe. Traffic can also be monitored to enforce SLAs and ensure you are receiving the bandwidth you paid for. Check Point SecureServer SecureServer is a server-specific firewall that controls IP access to servers, applying access rules from the same rulebase as FireWall-1. It is used to secure high-priority servers within a network.Check Point Account Management Module The Account Management Module provides an LDAP interface between FireWall/VPN-1 and Novell eDirectory or Microsoft Active Directory, to populate the Check Point policy database with user and group objects from the directory. Check Point MetaIP MetaIP provides a highly scaleable DHCP and DNS server that can allow and enforce access rules, integrated with VPN-1.
