Systems Management Solutions

QTS offers a broad range of Systems Management solutions to help customers maximize the uptime and availability of their systems.  Many of these services can be delivered in a Knowledge Transfer capacity leveraging QTS' QuikStart engagement methodology.

Our Systems Management practice revolves around the following management technologies:

  • Microsoft Systems Management Server ("SMS"): QTS configures SMS to allow medium business and enterprise customers to improve the consistency of their desktop environment, and their management control over their systems.  Microsoft SMS provides hardware and software inventory, remote control, software distribution, patch management and operating system imaging and distribution, allowing for a Zero Touch deployment methodology leveraging Microsoft's Business Desktop Deployment Solution Accelerator.
  • Microsoft Operations Manager ("MOM"): QTS configures MOM to allow customers to proactively monitor and manage their server environments, catching problems before they cause downtime or performance problems.  QTS can combine MOM with QTS' QuikAlert Daily Monitoring service to implement a highly cost-effective way to outsource systems management.  MOM can be extended to cover other Microsoft and non-Microsoft products using Management Packs.
  • Microsoft Windows Server Update Service ("WSUS"): QTS can implement a solid patch management system, with associated process and methodology, to help reduce vulnerabilities and exposure on your network.
  • Citrix EdgeSight: QTS can implement EdgeSight to help manage your desktop systems and MetaFrame Servers.  EdgeSight collects performance information and key system metrics to assist with the troubleshooting process and proactive management of your systems and performance.
  • iCM: Developed and delivered by our partner IMPACT Management, IMPACT Change Management (iCM) is a Change Management Portal application that helps businesses manage, track and control the process of implementing system configuration changes.  Build upon Microsoft SharePoint technologies including InfoPath, iCM is a flexible platform that can be customized to meet customer-specific needs and circumstances, and comes with bundled consulting/implementation services to guide customers through the process.

QTS also strategically leverages third party software solutions from partners such as eXc Software to enhance its offerings.
